It's that time again! Here's your weekly recap for BAYC highlights this past week. And as always, these highlights are HUGE.
Key Stats:
This weeks’ total owners have surpassed 4600, while total trade volume is at 27.3k at the time of this writing. Breaking through the 3.5 ETH wall, the floor has regained momentum and is currently >3.69 ETH.
BAYC once again donated BAKC secondary sale profits to charity. Totaling 11.5 ETH, the sales were split between @Lola_ya_Bonobo and @redapes to contribute to ape conservation efforts.
The Hundreds x BAYC ???
Will The Hundreds and BAYC be the next huge collaboration? After @mikedamazo asked “wen @BoredApeYC x @thehundreds dropping,” @bobbyhundreds responded with a ‘thinking’ emoji. @BoredApeYC replied with the same emoji leaving the apes hanging on the edge of their seats.
APED Collective Art Gallery
The APED Collective team announced a launch date for the first APED event which will take place on July 31st in Venice Beach, California. Various BAYC artists will be featured and musician @richvagner will be performing live during the event!
Apes Marshmello
Bored Apes have naturally made their way into the rave scene. @aliqutmiera shared a video of several people holding up letters spelling out “BOREDAPE” at a Marshmello concert in Las Vegas.
Tinie’s New Ape
Rapper Tinie Tempah (@tinie) traded “ETH + Merch” to Pranksy for an ape which he set as his PFP right after.
Dez’ Ape
NFL wide receiver, @DezBryant tweeted his appreciation to @j1mmyeth for getting him into the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Apes gave Dez a warm welcome following his acquisition, and just moments ago, he changed his PFP to a Cheetah Ape with a crown. #CheetahGang
Jake the Ape
Cryptopunk and artist of the Psycho series, @jakeosmun, flipped his PFP to a Bored Ape. If you haven’t seen his works already, check out our ape friend’s latest Opensea drop, Proof Of Violence. This 16 edition drop sold out within minutes due to heavy demand.
Loopify’s Ape Movie
@Loopify announced the introduction of an entertainment company, Interleave, that will be producing a Bored Ape & Meebits animated movie!
Ape’s Best Friend
In Danny_p3d’s latest animation, a rocket launching companion strolls alongside @GoTrillaGorilla’s ape whose swagger is just as dangerous as his dog. Gotrilla can be seen walking around in his pair of stunning custom shoes created by @ShoeRare.
Ape Animation: Bust A Move
@NFTartCo used his House of Kibaa ape source files to create an incredible dance animation.
ApeFather’s Debut
@ape6056 debuted in @RamonGovea’s latest NFT, an art piece depicting the Ape Father seated domineeringly above the star character “American Ape.” 25 copies of this wonderful work of art sold out within an hour and a half.
